The seminar starts with the discussion of possible questions related to the grammar exercises students did on the internet.
Students prepare to make their presentations in pairs and the Evaluation sheets are distributed.
Discussion related to gist writing techniques:
What is a gist?
How long is the gist?
What are the steps one should follow to write a good gist?
The students work in pairs, make presentation and are evaluated by the partner.
Then the students write the gists of 50 words of their partner’s presentation.
The seminar is ended with the students presenting the articles they have chosen for the lecturer.
The students split into 3 groups and choose an article.
Homework:
Read the article chosen for the group work and put down and send to the lecturer 10 most interesting collocations.
Start reading the chosen individual articles.
